BC Ferries cancelled several sailings between Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay (Victoria) Sunday because of adverse weather conditions.
Six sailings were cancelled midday Sunday because of high winds on the route.

But with conditions improving, BC Ferries said the scheduled 3 pm sailing from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen would go ahead.

“The safety of our passengers and crew is of primary importance to us. We don’t take the decision to cancel sailings lightly, as we know customers rely on us to get to their destinations,” BC Ferries said in a statement.
Winds in Vancouver were gusting up to 69 kilometres per hour on Sunday, according to Environment Canada.
