Police searching for Maple Ridge woman missing for over a week

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing woman from the Maple Ridge area.

According to a statement from the RCMP, Atefeh Jadidian was last seen on Wednesday, February 19, 2020. The 40-year-old was last seen leaving her work around the 22800 blocks of Lougheed Highway.

She didn’t show up for work the next day and wasn’t in contact with any of her friends and family, which police say is very out of character.

On Monday, Ridge Meadows RCMP located surveillance footage of Jadidian walking through a parking lot around 240th and Dewdney Trunk road. Her vehicle, a white Mazda CX-5, was also located, however, police weren’t able to find her.

Most recently, she was seen walking east in the 24800 blocks of Dewdney Trunk road in the early evening. Ridge Meadows Search and Rescue was activated to search the area surrounding Kanaka Regional Park, however, she has yet to be found.

Jadidian is described by police as being of Middle Eastern descent, standing at 5’5″ tall and 137 lbs, and having shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a light grey puffy jacket with a hood, dark-coloured pants, a navy and light-blue striped shirt, and dark brown boots.

Police are asking the public for anyone who might be able to help locate Jadidian, especially those with the following dash camera footage:

  • Anyone driving on Dewdney Trunk Road between 248th Street and 270th Street on February 19 between 5:25 and 6:15 pm
  • Anyone who lives between 248th Street and 270th Street along Dewdney Trunk Road (including side streets)
  • Anyone with doorbell cameras or home surveillance
