Richmond to host first-ever sunflower festival in August

Ah. Summer and sunflowers. Could there be a more synergetic combination?

Vancouverites no longer need to travel all the way to Fraser Valley to visit the Chilliwack Sunflower Festival. Richmond is finally getting its first sunflower festival in August!

The festival will feature 20 different varieties of sunflowers and dahlias on over eight acres of land for you to enjoy, with multiple #instaworthy moments.

You can also enjoy a cool drink or ice cream at the vendors at the festival, including a meal on weekends at the festival’s food trucks.

You can even take a train ride through the vineyard and enjoy a tractor ride to the sunflower fields!

Richmond Sunflower Festival 2019

When: August 3, 2019 to September 15, 2019

Where: Richmond Country Farms, 12900 Steveston Highway

Time: 10 am to 7 pm

Cost: $10 on Weekdays and $15 on Weekends, plus tax
