Much-loved Vancouver bakery to close after five years of operation

We have some sad news, Vancouver — your time with Remi Patisserie is coming to a close.
Remi Patisserie had previously shared plans to close sometime in 2025, but a firm closing date had not yet been announced. Now we have an update from the bakery.
“So… Today our buyer just dropped off the deposit. We are inching away from completing the sale of our bakery. 90% chance this October 12th will be our last day of service,” shared Remi Ho, owner of Remi Patisserie on Instagram.

Remi PatisserieĀ opened its doors on Oct. 8, 2020, but had been operating as a pop-up before then. The spot is best known for its hand-crafted desserts inspired by Hoās Chinese heritage and birthplace, French Guiana.
In the caption, Ho added that he will be using the second half of October to teach and pass down his knowledge to some passionate bakers.
“At some point I really thought I wouldnāt be able to sell the shop this year,” he added. “It was a real roller coaster ride for me and my staff. It will mark our 5th year anniversary in October.”
However, Ho did seem to tease at something new coming in the future.
“I have learned so much throughout these years and I hope I can be better and do better on the next venture. I have more to say but Iāll leave it for the next post,” he concluded.
