
The Ridge Meadows RCMP are currently investigating a fatal hit and run.
The incident took place on Thursday, April 12 at approximately 9:55 pm. A female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that was travelling westbound on the 21800 block of Lougheed highway.
The vehicle did not remain in the area and the woman tragically died on scene. Police had Lougheed Highway closed off between 216 and 222 streets for more than 12 hours to investigate. The area reopened at 11 am.

Police are currently looking for any witnesses who were present at the time of the incident, especially those with dash cameras who may possess footage from before, during, or after the incident.
