It’s a given that police officers will come across a variety of circumstances and sights during the course of their work.
They’re trained to be prepared for numerous dangerous and unusual situations.
However, a recent discovery in a Delta dumpster by officers on night patrol was worth a double-take â and a tweet.

Using the hashtag #NoCallTooCreepy, the department shared a photo that would make anyone patrolling an alley at night with flashlights do a double-take.
So this wasâŚ.unexpected. Police officers donât scare easily. But imagine you are patrolling down a dark alley and your flashlight hits upon this. #NoCallTooCreepy (And yes, those are mannequin heads) pic.twitter.com/4foWeTTfDK

According to Delta Police spokesperson Cris Leykauf, the mannequin-head-filled dumpster was found on the night of January 7, in downtown Ladner.
“Itâs definitely not a common occurrence,” she told Daily Hive. “It was noteworthy enough for the officer in question to snap a photo of it and forward it to his Sergeant.”
And while the officer apparently found “a whole garbage bag of mannequin heads” in the dumpster,  Leykauf said police are not pursuing the matter any further.
“Itâs not a criminal code offence to dispose of slightly creepy looking mannequin heads,” she added.
