Stanley Park will also be closed this evening and tomorrow as a safety precaution as winds are expected to reach hurricane force.
Tonight’s storm is expected to bring winds up to 60 km/hr to 100 km/hr, with the gusts increasing their intensity in Metro Vancouver from 9 pm to 2 am.
This storm, fuelled by the remnants of Typhoon Songda, has already left nearly 13,000 customers in the Lower Mainland and Sunshine Coast without power.
