The Pie Hole is making a 'pie poutine' for the long weekend (PHOTOS)

Canada Day is one of our favourite events of the summer, and to celebrate July 1 this year, local sweets purveyor The Pie Hole is bringing back a dreamy celebratory mashup.

Pie poutine will be available at this spot’s Fraser Street and Kitsilano locations soon, and it’s a can’t-miss summer treat with a twist.

Made from a combo of two scoops of Rocky Point Vanilla ice cream, topped with pie crust fries, maple buttercream curds, and finished with maple buttercream curds and warm maple caramel “gravy,” this is a sweet take on the classic Canadian dish.

Get this creation from June 28 to July 5.
