Overnight lane closures planned for Pattullo Bridge this month

Sep 5 2018, 12:05 am

Commuters who use the Pattullo Bridge will want to take note of upcoming overnight closures that will take place from September 16 to 20.

The lane closures will occur between 10 pm and 5 am as part of TransLink’s ongoing safety inspections on the underside of the bridge.

The closures will have the following effects on traffic flow:

  • September 16 and 17: travel will be northbound only (Surrey heading to New Westminster)
  • September 18, 19, and 20: travel will be southbound only (New Westminster heading to Surrey)

Emergency vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians will be able to cross the bridge at all times.

Transit users taking the N19 NightBus should plan for 30 minutes of extra travel time due to re-routing of the bus over the Alex Fraser and Queensborough Bridges.

Drivers are encouraged to use the Port Mann or Alex Fraser Bridge as alternatives during the inspection.
