While school is still in session, it’s never too early to start thinking about where you’d like to apply for an internship to gain work experience in the field you want to build a future in.

OneClass, an online education service providing students with study materials to help them better their grades, created a list of companies offering internships in Canada by compiling data from Glassdoor.

OneClass listed the country’s 25 highest paying internships in 2019, as well as Glassdoor ratings, which include CEO approval and the percentage likelihood someone would refer a friend there.

In OneClass’ chart below, you’ll see the average monthly salary beginning with the highest number, and ratings.

In addition to creating The 25 Highest Paying Internships in Canada in 2019, OneClass included data from past interns who described the “pros” and cons” of each company they worked at — touching on what the work culture is like, work load, colleague support, learning opportunities, and which companies can be challenging to land full-time work with once the internship is complete.

Appearing to score an ‘A’ with students is Demonware with 100% across the board, with pros kind and hardworking employees, interesting work and “great learning” and growth opportunities. Its “cons” are debatable, because it said there’s a lot of work that needs to be done and employees are “so friendly” that it can be hard to understand areas that need improvement.

Runners up include Shell Canada and Shopify.

OneClass said it’s important to have the pro and con reviews with the salary wages so students can see the “whole picture” before making a decision.
