Osita: Live stage and cocktail bar concept opens this week in Vancouver
It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to enjoy live performances, so now that we can, we’re excited to see new spaces popping up around the city.
A brand new concept space combining live performances and a cocktail bar is set to open later this week in East Vancouver.
Osita has taken over the former Federico’s Supper Club space at 1728 Commercial Drive with the aim to become Vancouver’s best live music venue.

The live stage will host an array of performers, from jazz bands to surf rock to Latin music. There will also be burlesque, cabaret, and flamenco, in addition to karaoke with cash prizes.
Osita will also have a dance floor, with plenty of room to move around – something we’ve all missed over the past two and a half years. The venue already has a lineup of performers slated to play through until August, with more being added weekly.

During the day, the space will serve breakfast, lunch, coffee, and pastries, before transforming into an evening venue.
As for the food and drink offerings at this new spot, Osita hasn’t shared menus quite yet, but according to its website, the food concept combines “European style dining” with “West Coast comfort foods.”
The menu will concentrate on local ingredients and focus on dishes that “pair perfectly with late-night music and dancing and [creating] new memories with our loved ones.”
On its drink menu, Osita will have craft beer on tap, a West Coast-focused wine list, and fun, inventive cocktails that go well with dancing.
Osita officially opens on Friday, June 24, with seatings at 5 pm and 10 pm. Tickets are now available.
