Oprah Winfrey, Steven Tyler, and Jay Leno coming to Vancouver this month for charity gala

This could very well be Vancouver’s biggest night in music this year.
The David Foster Foundation’s 30th Anniversary Miracle Concert will take over Rogers Arena in downtown Vancouver on Saturday, October 21, and it is promising a star-studded lineup of celebrities and artists.
Celebrity guests include Oprah Winfrey, Goldie Hawn, and Dr. Phil McGraw while the performances, headlined by Canadian producer David Foster, will feature Steven Tyler, Carly Rae Jepsen, Jay Leno, Robin Thicke, The Tenors, Matteo Bocelli, and Laura Bretan.
The annual fundraiser founded by Foster helps raise money for families undergoing life-saving pediatric organ transplants.
Since it was founded in Victoria in 1986, his namesake foundation has supported the non-medical expenses of over 1,100 Canadian families, such as food, mortgage or rent, and flights.
“For the past three decades, the David Foster Foundation has worked hard to raise the awareness of this cause and educate the public on the importance of becoming a registered organ donor,” said Michael Ravenhill, CEO of the David Foster Foundation, in a statement.
“More than 90% of Canadians support organ donor registration, but less than 25% of us are registered, and when families face the most difficult moments in their lives – when their child is sick and in need of a transplant – our role is to come alongside the family and take away that financial burden so they can focus all their attention on the child and not have to worry about losing their house or wondering where they are going to get the money to pay their bills.”
