The outlet chain of Nordstrom announced today it will open a 30,000-sq-ft store at the shopping mall in the spring of 2020.
The merchandise found at these no-frills locations is best described as a combination of significantly discounted items from the main luxury Nordstrom stores, as well as the outlet product lines of top brands; expect clothing, accessories, and shoes at prices of up to 70% off.
It will be the Seattle-based retailer’s seventh Nordstrom Rack location in Canada, with other locations open in Calgary (Deerfoot Meadows), Edmonton (South Edmonton Commons), Toronto (Vaughan Mills and One Bloor), Mississauga (Heartland Town Centre), and Ottawa (Ottawa Train Yards).
The first Canadian Nordstrom Rack opened in March 2018 at Vaughan Mills shopping mall in a Toronto suburb.
“We’re excited to continue growing our presence in Canada by opening a much-anticipated Nordstrom Rack location in Langley,” said Geevy Thomas, president of Nordstrom Rack, in a statement.
“We’ve learned from our Canadian customers since our initial openings in 2018, and look forward to enhancing the customer experience with our latest service and experience touchpoints to best serve the Vancouver market.”
Additional Nordstrom outlet locations are expected to open in Metro Vancouver, but the locations are unknown at this time.
Nordstrom’s 2015-opened upscale, full-line, flagship store at CF Pacific Centre in downtown Vancouver is one of the company’s best performing stores.
Other full-line stores in the country are located at Calgary’s CF Chinook Centre, Ottawa’s Rideau Centre, and Toronto’s CF Toronto Eaton Centre, Yorkdale Shopping Centre, and Sherway Gardens.
