Nicli Gastown has permanently closed after a decade of operation

One of Vancouver’s most popular pizza joints has closed its doors after a decade of operation. Nicli Gastown is now shuttered.
The 62 E Cordova Street eatery quietly closed after serving up traditional Italian pizza, salads, and beverages for 10 years.

In an email to Dished Vancouver, Nicli’s owner Bill McCaig confirmed the closure and cited the pandemic as the main reason for stopping operations at the Vancouver outpost.
“Due to covid restrictions and the lack of people visiting the downtown core we decided to concentrate our efforts where it made the most sense.”
For those hankering for this scissor-wielding pizzeria’s eats, its location in Edgemont Village, North Vancouver, is still open and operating.
