New spot for beer and casual eats 'The Magnet' just opened in Gastown

A new beer-forward concept just opened in Vancouver, and it’s called The Magnet.

The 309 West Pender Street spot for “food, beer, and the occasional stiff drink” took over the former space of EXP Restaurant + Bar, which closed in June 2018.

The Magnet opened for the first time this week and will be operating Monday to Friday from 4 to 11:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 11:30 pm.

This new counter service Gastown haunt doesn’t take reservations, so be sure to plan accordingly, pop by to grab a brew, and welcome them to the neighbourhood.
