Hot-Star Large Fried Chicken is opening its Richmond location this week

Good things come to those who wait, and in the case of Hot Star Large Fried Chicken, this couldnât be truer.
The chain of fast food outlets originating at the Taipei Shi-Lin Night Market is known for its massive chicken cutlets served in paper sleeves, and it’s about to open its first BC location in Richmond this week.

Patrons can look forward to biting into a menu of signature fried chicken in original, crispy, and BBQ-sauced styles, as well as the cheesiest of cheesy Hot Cheese Fried Chicken.
Other menu items Hot-Star is known for include popcorn chicken, sweet potato fries, fried king oyster mushrooms, and house-mixed sodas.
The Richmond eatery is located at 1623-4791 Mcclelland Road and will be soft opening on May 2 from 11 am to 9 pm.

Hot-Star’s Canadian debut in Toronto ended with some long lines, so we’re expecting the same outcome in Richmond too.
The brand has plans for a second BC location in the heart of downtown Vancouver at 566 Granville Street, the former location of Urban Mongolian Bistro.
