Surrey RCMP has released new images of the mother suspected of abducting her two children in an Amber Alert case that’s captured the attention of British Columbians.
Investigators say they’ve confirmed Verity Bolton was grocery shopping in Kamloops on July 15 and have released a surveillance image where she’s seen wearing an all-black outfit with a baseball cap and sunglasses.
Police also sent out a photo of the truck and trailer she’s believed to be driving. It’s described as a 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 with the licence plate SJ2708. The trailer is a white bumper pull horse/utility style.
The children weren’t seen with Verity at the Kamloops grocery store on July 15, and their whereabouts is unknown.
“Our investigators are following up on all tips received and continue to pursue all possible investigative avenues to bring Aurora and Joshuah home safely,” Cpl. Vanessa Munn with Surrey RCMP said. “Anyone who knows the current whereabouts of Verity, Aurora or Joshuah is asked to immediately call 911.”
When the Amber Alert was issued, the mother and children’s last known location was Krafty’s Kitchen and Bar in Kelowna.
Multiple emergency alerts have gone out to cellphones across British Columbia, with some people receiving four or more. Some have complained about the loud alarm associated with one of the push notifications that went out around 11 pm Wednesday night.
I have no issue with Amber Alerts and I believe they are super important but the sound is horrendous and TERRIFYING! The second one last night woke my child up and gave her a full panic attack. I wish there was an alternate sound! #AmberAlert #BC @BC_RCMP

But I didn’t clear it from my Lock Screen so for some reason this stopped my alarms to wake up for work! so because my alarm didn’t go off I did not get to work today. Why would the alert disengage the cell alarm set??? 🤬🤬 #AmberAlert #BC #canada @EmergencyInfoBC @SurreyRCMP

The BC government tells Daily Hive Surrey RCMP is doing the emergency alerts. Daily Hive has asked the force why so many have been sent out.
