Here are 8 PNE foods worth trying.
Funnel Cakes’ Funnel Cake Poutine
A balance of sweet and cheese-curd-salty goodness – this uber Canadian take on the American classic, funnel cakes, is a perfect dish to share between some adventures foodies.
Dim Sum Express’ Shrimp Dumplings
Traditional Chinese at the PNE? This is a first for this kind of cuisine, and we have to say – we’re into it. These morsels are easy to eat on the go, and not to mention they taste just like they would at a formal dim sum meal.
Super Footlong’s Double Bacon Mac N’ Cheese Super Footlong Hotdog
Filling, satisfying, and completely Insta-worthy (not to mention bacon, lots of bacon). Get one of these bad boys and cut it in half with a homie, or take it down yourself – however you eat it – we recommend checking this offering out during your day at the PNE.
Steve O’s Public House Waffle Ice Cream Cone
Probably our favourite new item at the PNE this year. It may not be exotic, but it’s adorable, delicious, and surprisingly light, which means you have tons of room to try other dishes after taking down a full-sized waffle taco cone.
Please note the Waffle Ice Cream Cone in this photo is approximately half the size of a regular order.
Gourmet Burgers’ Cricket Burger
Shock value or stomach value? We say both. Be daring and try this, we’re telling you, you wont regret it.
Double Decker Diner’s Mango Fish & Chips
Head to the shiny red bus and get your hands on some mango-battered fish and hand cut fries. This take on a classic pub meal is a great option to fuel up before an afternoon of rides.
Gourmet Burgers’ Cricket Fries
The other adventurous offering from Gourmet Burgers on our list is the Cricket Fries. If you’d rather get your protein in poutine-like form, opt for this treat.
Chicky’s Chicken Deep Fried Chicken Feet
Another one for the ‘gram, Deep Fried Chicken Feet seem to be the star of the show this year. A definite attention-grabber, this dish is something worth trying at least once.
