Faisal Qureshi, says that he created Muzproposal as a way for Muslims to connect and meet each other in the city.

“The struggle is real for anyone who wants to get married or find a partner,” said Qureshi, in a statement.

“There are many Muslim guys who complain about not having enough Muslim girls in the city and girls do the same. Reality is that there are many Muslim guys and girls ready to get married or find a partner; however, there is no proper channel that would connect them.”

Quereshi says the meetup events are “casual, friendly, and adhered to Islamic values and culture.”

Chaperones and parents are welcome but they are not allowed in the meeting area and will have a designated area where they will remain seated during the event.

The first Vancouver meetup will take place at the Westin Bayshore Vancouver on Saturday, February, 23. Registration is now open and seats are limited.

The app works similar to Bumble in that ladies make the first move. Users have 48 hours to reply and the rest is up to the potential couple!

The Muzproposal app is available to download on  Google Play and the App Store.
