Mumbai Local promises authentic Indian street food to Canadians when it opens “soon” at 123 Davie Street.

Claiming to be the first and “only Canadian spot specializing in Mumbai street food“, the menu here will boast mealtime dabbas, vada-pav dabelis, pav bhaji, jalebis, and golgappas to name a few.

The menu is separated into ‘Bites’ for $7 (multiple varieties of puri), ‘Street Eats’ served from 3 pm to close (chicken lollipop, prawns rava, masala toast sandwich, etc), and ‘Dinner’ served from 3 to 10 pm along with sweets, a happy hour menu, and a lunch special list.

All of the grub on the menu is relatively affordable, a few of the dinner items are over $15 but nothing goes past the $20 range.

Their website says Mumbai Local will be open from 11 am to 10 pm daily. We’ll keep you posted on an exact opening date.
