Search and Rescue (SAR) crews are currently looking for two hikers who have gone missing in Lions Bay.

SAR was activated several hours ago, at approximately 6:30 am.
The age or gender of the hikers has not yet been confirmed.
The exact trail they were using also remains unspecified, although the Lions Bay network plays home to over 10 different trails, all ranging in difficulty.
Sandro Frei of the Lions Bay SAR has confirmed that “teams are searching for two female hikers in the area leading to West Lion.”
The two failed to return from a hike yesterday evening and were missing overnight.
Update:
At this point, the two girls still remain missing.
Coquitlam Search and Rescue has confirmed via social media that they’ve been activated to assist in the search.
