Japanese eatery unveils stellar new festive feast (PHOTOS)
While Minami’s killer hidden patio might draw us to the popular Yaletown restaurant in the warmer months, its holiday menu will undoubtedly get us there in the winter too.
This year will be no different for fans of this spot.
The Vancouver staple for Aburi cuisine will offer its Holiday Aburi Shokai starting November 15 until Christmas Eve, December 24, giving you just over one month to devour this festive spread.

The four-course Japanese feast kicks off with a signature Minami appetizer of a Sashimi and Minami Trio, which includes a stunning selection of meats.
Then patrons will enjoy the Holiday Aburi Sushi Selection, featuring a chef’s selection of Aburi Oshi, rolls, and nigiri sushi flamed-seared with the venue’s signature sauces (the Salmon Oshi Sushi makes an appearance, rejoice).
For the entrée portion of the menu, the Surf and Turf, guests can enjoy Saikyo Miso Sakekasu Sablefish Roulade and the Welsh Onion Ash Crusted Beef Tenderloin.
And last but not least, the almond chocolate cake made with ginger syrup, vanilla tonka bean cream, honey orange curd, cranberry orange shortbread, and eggnog ice cream serves as a sweet finish to this seasonal meal.
The Holiday Aburi Shokai menu is $100 per person and can be combined with a wine or a sake pairing for $35 more, the perfect way to enjoy the epic mashup of Japanese flavours and local ingredients featured on this menu.
