The Winking Judge reopens after Donnelly Group deal falls through
If you walked by The Winking Judge over the weekend and saw people inside drinking beer, you may have been left confused.
The English pub, located in the heart of downtown Vancouver (888 Burrard Street), had previously announced it would be officially shuttering on October 30 after it was revealed the Donnelly Group would be taking over the space.
But, since then, the Donnelly Group tells Daily Hive the deal has fallen through and the “original owners have reopened it for the foreseeable future.”

The Winking Judge had been open since October 2008, which marks ten years of business for the much-loved local watering hole. Looks like the bar isn’t done serving its loyal patrons just yet.
The establishment’s official Instagram made the comeback announcement last week with a humorous caption about the confusing time.
We’re baaack…Surprised? Shocked? Confused? Ya. So are we! Same owners, same staff and same great times! We are picking up right where we left off.
