
Break out the sunscreen because Metro Vancouver could feel one of the highest temperatures of the year so far this week.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), the first full week of May features plenty of sunshine as well as a chance of showers this week.
ECCC is also forecasting that inland temperatures will rise to over 25°C.

The latest forecast shows that Metro Vancouver temperatures could hit a high of 25°C inland on Tuesday, May 6.
But the temperatures with the Humidex can feel 26°C, which would be one of the hottest days of the year so far.

According to the Government of Canada, Humidex measures how warm we feel in hot, humid weather.
“Environment Canada uses humidex ratings to inform the general public when conditions of heat and humidity are potentially uncomfortable.”

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) meteorologist Bobby Sekhon told Daily Hive that the longer-term forecast indicates a probability of temperatures exceeding the seasonal averages.
Soak in the sun before cooler temperatures return mid-week, with highs of only 16°C on Wednesday and 15°C inland on Thursday.
