Metro Vancouver forecast calls for rain, bringing end to sunny streak

Metro Vancouver’s sunny streak will likely be interrupted by a splash of rain this week.

According to Environment Canada, the forecast calls for a two-day period of rain before the weekend arrives.

Cloudy skies are expected to move across the region on Wednesday, with rain coming down on Thursday morning. Showers will continue overnight and into Friday but will likely ease off towards Friday night.

The incoming rain also brings a notable drop in temperature, offering Vancouverites relief from the warm summer climate. Expect daytime highs of 20°C on Thursday and Friday.

You likely won’t have to change your weekend plans, either. Environment Canada is calling for a mix of sun and clouds on Saturday, with mainly sunny skies to end the weekend on Sunday.
