It’s time to add another huge Vancouver concert to the schedule, because Metallica has just announced they’re coming to town for the first time in nearly a decade, and they’re bringing some special guests with them.

The nine-time Grammy Award winners are taking over BC Place on Saturday, May 8, 2027, for the M72 World Tour.

Joining Metallica for their Vancouver concert is none other than nu metal icons Limp Bizkit. Tickets go on sale on Friday, Sept. 25, at 10 a.m.

“Metallica’s record-breaking M72 World Tour has been celebrated as among the best of the band’s 40+ years of traversing the globe, with nearly five million members of the Metallica family having attended,” said Live Nation in a release.

“A portion of proceeds from every ticket sold will go to local charities via the band’s All Within My Hands foundation.”

Metallica is one of the best-selling bands of all time, with smash hits like “Enter Sandman” and “Until It Sleeps” winning them a legion of fans around the world.

The heavy metal quartet was founded in 1981 and saw early success with albums like Master of Puppets and …And Justice For All before they broke through to the mainstream in the early ’90s, starting with their self-titled fifth album, Metallica.

The group, which last played in Vancouver in 2017, is currently made up of James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo. Metallica also had six albums in a row debut at number one on the Billboard 200.

Limp Bizkit is a three-time Grammy nominee behind memorable earworms like “Nookie” and “Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)”, with a current lineup of Fred Durst, John Otto, Wes Borland, and DJ Lethal.

The Jacksonville, FL.-based group was founded in 1994 and is considered one of the pioneers of the nu-metal genre. Limp Bizkit recorded the main theme to Mission: Impossible 2 and were the first group inducted into MTV’s Total Request Live “Hall of Fame.”

The rock groups are the latest music acts to announce a Vancouver concert this year.

They join huge acts like aespa and The Smashing Pumpkins, who also recently announced concerts at Rogers Arena.

Music lovers can also snag tickets to BC Place concerts like Luke Combs and Bruno Mars, who broke his own record by adding a fifth Vancouver show for this fall.
