Matthew Gaudreau's wife Madeline gives birth to healthy baby boy
The holiday season must have been very tough for the Gaudreau family as they spent it without Johnny and Matthew, but they had the good fortune of welcoming a new addition to the family.
Madeline Gaudreau, the wife of Matthew, announced on social media earlier today that she had given birth to a healthy baby boy named Tripp Matthew Gaudreau, with the middle name being a tribute to his late father.

It’s certainly a bittersweet moment for the family as they must be overjoyed to see Tripp be brought into the world healthy, but it adds a new layer of tragedy to Matthew’s death over the summer after being hit by an alleged drunk driver in rural New Jersey while biking with his brother Johnny.
In the aftermath of the horrible incident, it was revealed that Madeline was pregnant with her and Matthew’s first child. A GoFundMe was set up to help Madeline with the expenses of being a single parent and was able to gather an astonishing US$859,114, crushing the campaign’s initial goal of $30,000.
On top of this, Johnny’s wife Meredith is also pregnant with the couple’s third child as well, revealing that she was in her ninth week of pregnancy during her husband’s funeral back in September.
It’s a heart-wrenching situation for the two wives and mothers to be in and while there is sure to be plenty of sadness, we can only hope that the birth of these two babies will help the family further along in the healing process.
