A motorcyclist has died after a crash on a busy route Wednesday morning, leading to an investigation and lengthy delays for other motorists.
BC Highway Patrol confirmed the motorcyclist collided with another vehicle just after 6 am on Highway 99 near the George Massey Tunnel in Delta.
They then ran into the roadway, where they were struck by the rear wheels of a semi-truck, critically injuring them. They did not survive.
The collision led to a full-lane closure northbound for hours. However, the area has since been cleared.
