Man shot in Vancouver's eighth homicide of the year: VPD

A 30-year-old man has died in what the VPD says is Vancouver’s eighth homicide of 2020.

According to police, the incident took place in South Vancouver last night. Amin Shahin Shakur was shot near Main Street and East 48th Avenue just after 11 pm. He died at the scene.

“The victim does not have an extensive police history. There is no risk to the public,” said VPD in a release.
