Man arrested in New Westminster one day after being released from jail

A man who was released from custody under a number of conditions on Tuesday, was arrested in New Westminster and taken back into custody on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, around 1:30 pm, Bryan Kelly, described a “high-risk offender” by police was arrested by Surrey RCMP for breaching court-imposed conditions of his release.

A public warning had been issued when Kelly was released, stating that he was intending to live in Metro Vancouver, but a location had not been specified.

He was arrested and taken into police custody to appear in court in Surrey today.

Police said no further information is available at this time.
