So you’ve met the love of your life. Or, maybe you’ve gathered the girls together for a Galentine’s Day celebration.

Now, get ready fall in love with Vancouver TheatreSports (VTS). Whether you’re spending this Hallmark holiday with friends, family, or the literal love of your life, VTS aims to make you laugh until your sides ache.

If you’re looking to go all out this V-Day, be sure to check out Love Matches: A Valentine’s Day All-Out Love Battle.

On February 14 at two showings (7:30 and 9:30 pm), Aphrodite, the goddess of love, and VTS’ very own, very dapper GQpid will host an all-out love battle of epic proportions. Watch improv couples duke it out in an audience-inspired competition to prove that love (and laughter) truly conquers all.

The evening includes drink specials at the Neil Macrae Bar and Lounge, located inside The Improv Centre, as well as roving characters. Grab a glass of bubbly, get your ‘Heart-Chart’ read by a love astrologer, and listen to a love-sick poet who will compose personalized (and improvised) sonnets you can take home with you. Talk about making memories.

Break out of your routine and your comfort zone! For one night only on Valentine’s Day from 7 to 9 pm, VTS is hosting a Date Night Improv Workshop. Come with your partner to play and laugh during this fun (and funny), stress-free, one-of-a-kind date night event.

Let loose through improv games and exercises taught by VTS ensemble members Clare Fillipow and Allen Morrison at the Improv Comedy Institute. Follow it up with a 9:30 pm showing of Love Matches. Forget dinner and a show, this is improv and a show!

The Love of Your Life/VTS

Can’t wait ’til Valentine’s for the romance to begin? Every Wednesday through Saturday from February 5 to 15 (except on February 14), VTS will be showing The Love of Your Life, an improvised true romance, developed by former artistic director and current ensemble member, Denise Jones.

Watch this real-life romance unfold as an actual couple from the audience joins the cast on stage for the show. During the first half of the show, the couple is interviewed by the host. VTS’ talented ensemble then takes the information and re-creates key moments in the couple’s lives, up to the present day.

With suggestions from the audience, the ensemble then projects what the future could hold for the couple. Don’t miss out! This show is sure to touch your heart (and your funny bone.)

Tickets are selling out fast, so get them now online at the VTS website.
