London Drugs' new store at The Amazing Brentwood plaza is now open

London Drugs has soft opened its newest 20,000 sq. ft. location in Burnaby, featuring a “future-forward” focus on wellness and personalized service.
The new store is situated at the main plaza of The Amazing Brentwood, replacing the longstanding location in the former Brentwood Town Centre indoor mall, which has now permanently closed.
The grand opening festivities of the new store — including the official ribbon cutting with dignitaries — are scheduled from 8:45 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, just before the location opens for the day.

In a news release, the Western Canadian pharmacy chain referred to its new location as its “first Da Vinci project store,” designed by Montreal-based interior architecture firm Rümker, which will bring an “open-concept and seamless-flow design with a focus on sustainability and wellness.”
Design highlights include a wellness centre, private pharmacy consultation booths and consultation rooms, a beauty department with a dermatology focus and sustainable product options, and a product packaging and recycling zone.

Another unique feature of the store is the refill station for reusable bottles, allowing customers to refill their containers with hand soap and dish soap options from brands like Mrs. Meyer’s and Method.
London Drugs was one of the remaining main tenants in the old mall and had previously announced its plans to relocate to the new outdoor plaza area in 2025.
Daily Hive Urbanized previously reported that London Drugs’ future replacement unit is located immediately adjacent to the LL Bean outdoor clothing flagship store, and just below Cineplex’s The Rec Room.
London Drugs’ future location at The Amazing Brentwood has been vacant since the complex was first built in 2021, but it was temporarily used in 2023 for the Marvel Avengers STATION experience.

In social media posts this morning, Shape Properties — the developer and owner of The Amazing Brentwood — also marked the official closure of the old indoor mall, referred to as the “Interior Centre,” effective today.
Now, Shape Properties is eyeing the indoor mall’s demolition as the future site of at least two more towers, as well as “green spaces, walkable boulevards, and pedestrian street front shops, creating a new retail experience at the centre of The Amazing Brentwood Masterplan.”
However, this amendment to the current master plan is still under review with the City of Burnaby.
