Little Billy’s Restaurant shared the news that it will be closing its doors this month after operating for over 50 years in Burnaby.

“After 51 years of sharing great food, warm hospitality, and unforgettable memories with our community, it is with heavy hearts that we announce Little Billy’s will be permanently closing,” wrote the restaurant on Instagram.

Little Billy’s, located at 6785 Hastings St., is best known for its selection of Greek cuisine. Think calamari, souvlaki, spanakopita, and more.

“Since 1975, we have had the privilege of serving generations of families, celebrating milestones big and small, and welcoming so many of you as regulars who became family. Every plate of souvlaki, every flaming saganaki, every glass raised has all meant the world to us,” added the restaurant.

“To our incredible staff, past and present, to our loyal guests, and to the Burnaby community who supported us for half a century. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.”

Little Billy’s will be permanently closing on Friday, June 19. Folks who want to stop by for one last visit are encouraged to make a reservation online.

Many commented on the closure announcement, sharing how much they would miss the restaurant.

“This one hurts, but the memories will last forever. Love you,” wrote one person.

“Fifty-one years is pretty unreal, we had our wedding reception and many communions with you guys, lots of great memories, thanks for being a part of the community for so many years! All the best to you,” added another.

“Congrats on 51 years! We are all sad to see you go. Many blessings on to the next adventure,” wrote a third.
