People heartbroken after 20-year-old Vancouver noodle shop announces closure

Legendary Noodle has announced that it will be closing its Denman location before the end of the month.
“After over 20 wonderful years since 2006, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of our Legendary Noodle [Denman] Street location,” wrote the noodle shop in a Facebook post.
“We are truly grateful for your unwavering support, loyalty, and the countless memories we’ve shared. Thank you for being a part of our journey.”
Legendary Noodle is best known for its traditional hand-pulled noodles made fresh and served in a slow-braised thick beef bone soup.
However, it’s not all doom and gloom for fans of these hand-pulled noodles, as it shared that it will continue to operate its Broadway location at 887 W. Broadway, Vancouver.

Many took to the comments on the Facebook post to share how sad they were about the impending closure.
“Ah! This restaurant has been in my life for 10 years. First one I visited when I moved to Denman. (I’ll definitely be ordering from Broadway),” wrote one person.
“Holy hell. Denman Asian culinary is getting obliterated,” shared another.
Oh my, you were my favorite restaurant in all of Vancouver, a comfort spot and a legend indeed! Thank you for years of great welcome, house tea and delicious food,” added a third.
Legendary Noodle Denman’s last day of operation is Sunday, Sept. 27.
