Famous French spot 'L'Eclair de Génie' has quietly closed in Vancouver
A famous French dessert spot has quietly closed in Vancouver.
L’Eclair de Génie first opened at 1210 Robson Street in April 2017.
This was the first North American outpost for the iconic brand, which is known for offering an array it’s signature éclairs (there are 250 flavours in some locations).

Originally established in Paris in 2012, the now-shuttered Robson Street location was one of 25 scattered around the globe in places like Japan, Hong Kong, France, and Italy when it first opened.
In November 2018 the French purveyor announced the Vancouver store would be closing for “renovation purposes”.
Now, the 1210 Robson Street sweet spot is marked as permanently closed online and its website is expired. The address was listed for sale back in September 2018.
Daily Hive has reached out to L’Eclair de Génie Canada regarding the closure but did not hear back in time for publication.
It looks like Taipei bubble tea spot Jenjudan is taking over the address.
We’ll keep you posted on opening details for this spot.
