Metro Vancouver car dealership flagged for possible coronavirus exposure

A Langley car dealership is the latest location to be flagged for potential coronavirus exposure.

On the “current exposures” section of its website, Fraser Health states that those who visited the Willowbrook Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge RAM dealership on October 24 and 26, may have potentially been exposed to the virus.

However, the health authority notes that this notification specifically applies to the shuttle bus and service department.

On both days, Fraser Health states that the exposure period was between 7:30 am and 4 pm.

With this latest exposure, Fraser Health is also reminding people that just because they may have been in an affected location at the time of exposure, it does not mean they will develop COVID-19.

Exposures are listed “out of an abundance of caution,” and anyone who may have visited any of the locations listed on the specified dates and times to monitor themselves for symptoms.

Health officials also stress that “there is no known risk to anyone who attended any listed locations outside of the specified dates and times.”

And if people remain healthy and do not develop symptoms, “there is no need to self-isolate and people can continue with their usual daily activities.”

Those who have been identified to have coronavirus or have had close contact will be directly contacted by Fraser Health’s public health team.
