An adorable kitten is in need of medical help after arriving at the BC SPCA’s Vancouver branch with a badly injured leg.

According to a release from the BC SPCA, the kitten — now named Valerio — is currently receiving treatment for his wound at the branch’s Vancouver Animal Hospital and may require amputation surgery.

The medical bills for Valerio’s care cost about $2,430 and the kitten will spend at least one month in the care of the SPCA before being available for adoption.

“This gorgeous, grey-haired kitten loves to cuddle and will fall asleep in your arms,” said SPCA Vancouver branch manager Jodi Dunlop.

“Valerio is simply a bundle of joy and such a cute, little nugget.”
