Katy Perry shares fun from 24-hour Invictus Games Vancouver visit

Singer Katy Perry was in Vancouver this weekend for the Invictus Games, and she shared some fun behind-the-scenes moments on Wednesday from her 24-hour stop in the city.
Perry performed at the Invictus Games’ opening ceremonies. The games’ name means “unconquered” in Latin, and they celebrate sick or injured military personnel and veterans.
“Only 24 hours in Vancouver but we made the most of it, eh?” Perry captioned the post.
In the video, she enters BC Place, compliments the symmetry of the “I am” lettering in the Invictus Games logo, and watches a marching band perform.
“It’s gonna be a great show, don’t you know,” she says while imitating a Canadian accent.
The pre-show clips are interspersed with footage of her singing her hit song “Roar” on stage with accompaniment from the marching band.
“To any future performer: be happy when you have it, and happy when it’s over,” she tells the camera while adding a ponytail flip.

Prince Harry, a former British military captain, founded the Invictus Games in 2012. Harry was in town with his partner Meghan Markle over the weekend. Singers Noah Kahan, Chris Martin, and Nelly Furtado also performed at the opening ceremonies.
