New Japanese spot Katsu San is officially open in Richmond

Apr 19 2020, 3:57 pm

While a handful of restaurants have recently closed their doors due to the state of the food and beverage industry, some spots have still been able to move forward and open their doors.

One of those establishments is Katsu San, Metro Vancouver’s newest destination for Japanese pork cutlet.

Katsu San is located atĀ Ā 110-6011 No.1 Road in Richmond. It specializes inĀ pork katsu, which itĀ Koji-cures for 62 hours.

All of this spot’s sauces are made in house, and so are the bread crumbs it uses on its katsu.

Diners can find more than just pork, chicken, and tiger prawn katsu on the menu here, though. Ramen, sides, and drinks like soda and beer can be ordered as well.

Starting today, the restaurant is open from Tuesday to Sunday from noon to 8:30 pm. Naturally, the eatery is not accepting dine-in customers, but Katsu San is offering takeout.

Takeout orders can be made over the phone. Folks can enjoy 15% off all takeout orders during Katsu San’s first month of operation.

This spot will only be accepting credit card payments at this time.
