FEATURED ON THE LISTED GUIDE
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be showing his support for the LGBTQ2+ community this weekend in Vancouver.
The Prime Minister’s Office confirmed with Daily Hive that Trudeau will be marching in this Sunday’s Vancouver Pride Parade.
This isn’t the first time Trudeau has marched with his family in the Vancouver parade. In 2016, he made history as Canada’s first sitting Prime Minister to march in the Vancouver Pride Parade and also attended in 2018.

Trudeau kicked off Pride celebrations earlier this week in Vancouver when he visited The Fountainhead Pub — the city’s original and most celebrated gay pubs. He reportedly became the first PM in Canadian history to visit a gay bar.
The 2019 Vancouver Pride takes place on August 4 from noon to 3 pm through Vancouver and the West End and ending at Sunset Beach.
