Vancouver fried chicken shop to offer throwback $15 meal deal for 10th anniversary

Juke Fried Chicken is celebrating a decade of clucking good times in Chinatown, and to commemorate the achievement, it’ll be bringing back its popular original combo at the same price it was 10 years ago.
“Ten years ago, we opened our doors at 182 Keefer Street in the heart of Chinatown with a simple idea to make and serve great fried chicken and ribs,” said Justin Tisdall, who founded JukeĀ Fried Chicken and The Chickadee Room with Bryan Satterford and Cord Jarvie.
“We were one of, if not the first, truly independent fried chicken spots in Vancouver at the time. This anniversary is our way of saying thank you to the community and our friends and family for making it all possible.”

The OG Jukebox features three of Juke’s OG BBQ Pork Ribs glazed in house-made barbecue sauce alongside two pieces of its buttermilk-brined Fried Chicken, sourced locally from Rossdown Farms and breaded in Juke’s signature gluten-free seasoned batter, and All Dressed FriesĀ topped with spicy garlic mayo, jalapeƱo, red onion and cucumber pickles, fresh green onion, crispy fried onions, and parmesan.
You’ll be able to snag all of this for just $15, the original price it was launched at a decade ago, starting July 31 until Aug. 3.
Additionally, Juke is offering a golden ticket contest where, between July 25 and Aug. 3, every order will come with a golden ticket and a chance to win one of 10 instant-win prize packs. Prize packs will include gift cards, limited Juke merch, Juke dry goods and sauces, and a Chickadee “Industry Club” Keychain, plus entry into the draw for the ultimate grand prize: free food from Juke for a year.

“The OG JukeboxĀ is where it all began for us,āĀ said Satterford, co-owner and chef. “Those ribs and that gluten-free batter are the first recipes we ever put on the menu. We wanted to bring it back at 2016 prices and celebrate this anniversary with the people who’ve been eating with us from the start.”
