Jo's Italian Deli reveals opening date of new Vancouver location
In what might be one of the most hyped openings this month, Jo’s Italian Deli has finally shared an opening date for its second Vancouver location.
Jo’s Italian Deli broke the news late last year that it would be opening a new location in the city.
“We heard you,” shared Jo’s Italian Deli on TikTok. “We’ve been keeping a little secret, but we’re shy, so stay tuned!ā
Jo’s opened its first brick-and-mortar outpost in Chilliwack in 2018, where it served a small selection of deli sandwiches and grocery items. Soon after, it began to offer more varieties of sandwiches alongside a solid selection of fresh pastas.
Then, in 2021, the deli opened its first-everĀ Vancouver outpostĀ at 2505 Alma St., and in 2023, it opened its new sandwich-focused concept,Ā Mangia’s Sandwiches,Ā in South Granville.
Since then, the deli has received a cult following due to its affordable offerings, with its $11 pastas and $9 sandwiches.
If this new location is anything like its two other spots, we expect to find classics like rigatoni in slow-cooked homemade meat sauce and spaghetti and meatballs, alongside its selection of Italian grocery and pantry staples.
As for the opening date of its new location, Jo’s shared in an Instagram video that it will officially open its doors on Thursday, Feb. 12.
“We are still in our training week right now, so if you walk by the store and we look open, we aren’t just yet! We are still training our staff via our taste testing,” said the deli.

Many have shared their excitement for the new location on Instagram.
“I am jumping up and down with joy that Jo’s in my neighbourhood!!!!!” said one Instagram user.
“A THOUSAND KISSES FOR JO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best news EVER!!!” said another.
“AHHHH so close to my work I’m screaming ur gna see me every day,” shared a third.
