Independent Vancouver coffee shop to open first New Westminster location

When thinking about local coffee chains in and around Metro Vancouver, JJ Bean tends to be the first that comes to mind. Whether you want to stop in for a quick coffee or to grab one of their much-loved donuts (which are so good that the team has since opened a dedicated donut concept), there are locations all over Metro Vancouver.
Now, the brand is expanding further with its first outpost in New Westminster.
The new location is on the ground floor of the Uptown West building, a new 29-storey rental tower located in New Westminster’s Uptown district.
While an opening date for the new JJ Bean has yet to be shared, signage indicates that the store should be opening its doors soon.

Uptown West’s website also indicates that Firehouse Subs and Kinton Ramen are expecting to open locations in the building as well, with “more to come.”
Among the other changes in the food and drink scene around New Westminster, Snowy Village, located inside the New Westminster SkyTrain station, recently closed, with a new cafe already operating out of the space.
