Good news comedy fans! Jerry Seinfeld will be coming to Abbotsford in December and tickets go on general sale this Friday.

The legendary American comedian will be performing his latest stand-up gig at the Abbotsford Centre at 7:30 pm on Friday, December 1.

Live Nation and Ticketmaster pre-sale begins this Wednesday, but the general public will have to wait until 10 am this Friday to grab seats.

Originally a stand-up comedian, Seinfeld was catapulted to stardom in the 1990s with the success of his now legendary sitcom Seinfeld.

Since the show ended its nine-year run in 1998, Seinfeld returned to stand-up comedy and in 2009, began a successful web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

Earlier this year, Seinfeld signed an exclusive deal with Netflix to stream all episodes of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

As part of the deal, Seinfeld is also creating two new stand-up specials and developing comedy programming for the streaming service.

One of those specials is Jerry Before Seinfeld, which sees Seinfeld return to the club which gave him his start in the 70s, The Comic Strip.

That special is due to drop on Tuesday, September 19. Here’s hoping it gives a little preview of what’s in store for Abbotsford in December!
