Members of our Hive Labs team at Daily Hive have been busy bees this new year — brainstorming, organizing, and creating content. But apart from our love of content, if there’s one thing most of our team share a mutual affinity for, it’s shopping.
With spring right around the corner, we’ve been perusing the shelves for new purchases. Not only for new wardrobe additions, but also things to brighten up (metaphorically but also someone literally wants a lamp) and decorate the office with.
These are all the things Hive Labs would love to add to cart for spring 2020.
“For the longest time, I’ve been searching for the ‘perfect’ work bag — one that actually fits my laptop and accessories without bursting at the seams. I found the bobobark bag online and have been captivated by its smart, sturdy design. I love the fact that it’s sustainably made using bark. The compartmentalization is genius (no more rummaging for your favourite lip balm), and it can be worn multiple ways. It’s the kind of bag that Derek Zoolander would approve of!” — Catríona Hughes, Senior Writer, Branded Content
“The walls of the Hive Labs video office present our collective creativity, but we are missing one thing — DAYLIGHT. So, on my wishlist is the LED, UV-free, full-spectrum HappyLight by Verilux. The light reportedly improves sleep, mood, focus, and energy by providing signals to the body. It’s even doctor recommended! Though, I suppose, we could actually go outside, but who has time for that?
When it comes to fashion front, I’m looking for a pair of jeans that fit well on a tall, slim frame but still have a reinforced crotch, because that part always seems to wear out first. I know — it’s quite the visual.” — Zain Meghji, Head of Branded Video Content
“I went to college in the states and White Claw is a big thing down there — so I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty stoked that it’s finally coming to Canada! I’ve also been meaning to get my hands on some of these no-tie laces ever since I heard about them. Basically, the anchors and clips hold the laces in place behind the holes in your shoes so you don’t have to do any tying.” — Parker Kump, Digital Marketing Coordinator
“I’m low-key obsessed with this office clutch by Glass Ladder & Co. Much of my day is spent rushing into meetings with way too many items in tow. I love the idea of packing all my random things into a neat little package so I show up looking organized and professional. On the personal side, my New Year’s resolution is to buy more from small, local brands (and especially companies run by women), so I’ve got the Superknot by supercrush on my wishlist.” — Leah Bjornson, Managing Editor, Branded Content
“Our whole team at work has been talking about standing desks, but we currently just have one portable stand to share. Sitting at a computer all day can be such a pain (literally), and I’d love to be able to stretch throughout the day. Beyond that, I’m currently on the hunt for pieces that are good for the warmer seasons. In particular, I want a flowing floral dress that can transition through spring and summer.” — Cynthia Chi, Project Manager
Moving things from your wishlist to the shopping cart can be a struggle. If you’re hoping to save up for a dream purchase (or nab something from our wishlist), we want to impart a pro tip before you add to cart. Paytm is the first rewards program in Canada that allows you to earn points from paying bills which you can then convert in Paytm Cash to pay off other bills, like your credit card bill (ahem, from all your spring purchases).
Just pay your bill using the Paytm app and link your credit card, bank account, or add money to Paytm Cash. You’ll be able to redeem Paytm Points for rewards from your fave brands, like Amazon, Starbucks, Hudson’s Bay, Sephora, and more!
Pay your bills and get rewarded with cash to spend on spring purchases? Sounds like a pretty amazing deal if you ask us.
