Here's who is playing in Vancouver for FIFA World Cup Round of 32

The 2026 FIFA World Cup knockout stage is officially set, and we now know who will be playing in Vancouver this week.
Canada will not be returning to Vancouver for the tournament after losing their last preliminary match to Switzerland at BC Place last week. Instead, it will be the Swiss who will be sticking around Canada’s West Coast, as they prepare to take on Algeria at BC Place on Thursday.
This will be the first time in World Cup history that Switzerland and Algeria will play against each other, and Vancouver soccer fans will have front-row seats.

It’s set to be an exciting matchup, as Switzerland will attempt to advance to the Round of 16 for the fourth-straight World Cup, while Algeria is looking to do so for the first time since 2014.
Those wanting to get inside the stadium for the match could be in luck, as ticket prices took a nosedive in recent days.Ā
The match is set to be the second-last World Cup game to be hosted by Vancouver this tournament. The city will play host to one more Round of 16 match, which will feature the winner of Thursday’s game against either Colombia or Ghana on July 7.
The other Round of 32 match being held in Canada also holds a lot of intrigue, as Cristiano Ronaldo and his Portugal squad will be headed to Toronto on Thursday to take on Luka ModriÄ and Croatia.
Both Vancouver and Toronto are set to have quite the atmosphere this week.
