New spot for wrinkled skin milk pudding opens in Metro Vancouver

Wrinkled skin milk pudding has made its way to Metro Vancouver courtesy of Hé Made, a contemporary Cantonese dessert house that has recently opened its doors.
Officially opened on June 2, the dessert shop is serving classic Cantonese Tong Sui (a.k.a. wrinkled skin milk pudding) with what it calls a “fresh new perspective.”
The 30-seat space is described as a blend of contemporary Chinese design with warmth and comfort, featuring a communal table under a tree, plenty of natural wood textures, and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer a view of the passing SkyTrains and bustling main strip.

On the menu, guests can find the longstanding Cantoneses Wrinkled Skin Milk Pudding, a sweet dish that is renowned for its silky custard under a wrinkled top, alongside other items like Golden Cassava Ginger Soup, Traditional Freshly Ground Black Sesame Paste, and house-made Egg Tarts.

Hé Made also offers a DIY Series, which features a whole stewed pear dessert that can be personalized with different toppings, and a Snow Ice series with a whole selection of shaved ice creations paired with fresh fruits.
