Pipeline protests blocking traffic on key route into downtown Vancouver (PHOTOS)
Just one day after hundreds of protesters gathered in downtown Vancouver, a smaller group has gathered in the Hastings-Sunrise area.
Dozens of people are currently protesting at the intersection of Hastings Street and Clark Drive, blocking traffic into downtown and into the Vancouver Port in the process.

Numerous posts on social media have captured pictures of the small-scale protest, some even calling for more people to join.

Translink has told Daily Hive that as a result of the protests, four different bus routes are being redirected – the 14, 16, 20, and 95 B-line – although the detours are fairly close to their pre-existing routes.
Riders are warned that although the delays aren’t significant as of yet, extra time while commuting is optimal.
Daily Hive has reached out to the Vancouver Police Department for further details and is awaiting comment.
