The most terrifying time of the year is upon us, and we’ve gathered the best ghost tours and haunted houses in Vancouver for your Halloween pleasure.

All around Metro Vancouver, you can wander alleyways haunted by history, get lost in dark and twisted corn mazes, and get spooked in chilling houses of horror.

What: Fright Nights, one of Western Canada’s scariest haunts, is returning to Vancouver for the upcoming spooky season. And we can’t wait to visit the scream park!

The highly anticipated Playland attraction is celebrating its 22nd anniversary on select nights running through to Halloween night.

Visitors can enjoy the immersive Halloween-themed experience with seven haunted houses, over 15 heart-pounding rides, spooky décor, roaming monsters, thrilling live performances, and more.

Cougar Creek’s House of Horrors

What: Do you love the feeling of being terrified? Then you’ll love Cougar Creek’s House of Horrors.

This haunted house in Surrey is actually five different haunted houses in one, plus more ways to get your blood pumping. This year, you can explore Abomination, Echoes of Abbath, New Year’s Evil, Sinneraria and Zycho Zerkus.

Cougar Creek also features sinister snack treats, a nightly stage show, and more.

What: Reapers Haunted Attraction has returned to terrify visitors at Chilliwack’s Fantasy Farms. The Reapers Maze of Terror is an insane asylum-themed haunt filled with crazed patients and twisted doctors just waiting to get their hands on a new victim.

There is almost no light in the 22,000-square-foot maze of terror. The blacked-out attraction includes a chainsaw massacre experience, complete with real chainsaws.

What: For Halloween, East Vancouver’s Strange Fellows Brewing is transforming into a haunted brewhouse and brave souls are invited to take a self-guided tour through a “full-blown, walk-through Haunted House experience” filled with surprises, special effects, and frights.

Maan Farms Halloween Fright Festival

What: Abbotsford’s Maan Farms is known for its epic fall events, and this year, it is introducing a new Halloween Fright Festival.

The farm’s signature scare zones have been reimagined for maximum immersion, and the Frightfully Fun Forest Pumpkin Patch has been elevated with glowing lights, mist-shrouded trees, and oversized mushroom and butterfly houses.

Once the sun sets, live theatrical performances will roll out across the wine garden, the Midway, and the pumpkin patch.

Bring your appetite as Mama Maan’s Country Kitchen will serve butter chicken and chickpea curry bowls, samosas, seasonal pizzas, kettle corn, and desserts like Apple Pie Samosas.

One of the feature attractions is Burnaby Village Museum’s family-friendly Haunted Village: Legends, Tales and Other Stories, transforming the 10-acre historical attraction into a magical world from Oct. 22 to 26.

The open-air event invites guests to embark on a unique, self-guided walk and discover wondrous tales lifted from storybook pages and transformed into stunning displays.
