With all this rain currently soaking the city, skiers and snowboarders can at least take solace in the fact that Grouse Mountain is currently getting a fresh dumping of snow, as a result.

Yes, the ground is turning a nice shade of white, and snow can fully be seen falling on the resort’s webcams.

Grouse, along with the two other North Shore Mountains, Cypress and Seymour, typically opens to the public for skiing and riding in early-December.

The temperature at the mountaintop ski facility is hovering around 0 degrees, and 5-degree highs are forecast for today and throughout the weekend.

So while the snow may or may not stick around, it’s certainly serving as a teaser for the upcoming season.

In the meantime, keep doing the snow dance! (Although doing so inside this weekend and staying dry will be a good idea.)
